SA-62/H
Optical See-Through Monocular HMD
Vision Products’ SA-62/H optical see-through Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) is a low cost system that provides augmentation via symbology and video imagery over a very wide field of view. The SA-62/H’s high resolution (1920 x 1200) color OLED microdisplays provide an extremely sharp image, while Vision Products’ innovative prism eyepiece design has almost no peripheral obscuration, so users see an unobstructed view of the real world.
The SA-62/H clips into the side mount on the HGU-56P helmet and has adjustments for fore/aft, left/right and vertical positioning of the monocular display eyepiece module, ensuring that users always have the correct fit. A large exit pupil and eye relief provide for a comfortable viewing experience.
The SA-62/H was designed to be mounted to the Apache AAIH pilot helmet using the presently issued mechanical interface plate, but can be adapted to other flight helmets. The SA-62/H also can be flipped up out of the pilot’s vision or placed into a secure stowage position when not in use. Electronics can either be configured to attach to the rear of the helmet or the pilot’s chest.
